Shuyang derives its name from its location on the north bank of the Shu River (in ancient times, the north bank of a river was called 'yang'). In 2013, it was named "Hometown of Chinese Calligraphy". The artwork adopts the artistic creation form of traditional Chinese cursive script calligraphy, and derives a design with the theme of "Shu River's Yang". The overall design highlights the elegant, flowing, and dynamic characteristics of cursive script, achieving a smooth and flowing effect that fully embodies the fluidity of "water". It integrates the essence and charm of traditional calligraphy into modern sculpture, showcasing the infinite charm of traditional culture. Meanwhile, using mirror stainless steel as the material reflects Shuyang's innovative spirit and the new era's development style, highlighting Shuyang's national reputation for reform and innovation, and the remarkable "Shuyang speed" and "Shuyang experience".

This sculpture is composed of Chinese ceramic particles.
