The Border Crossing Cultural Park of Vanzanten

This site is located at the main entrance into the Border Gate Cultural Park and is an important space for people to gather and disperse. The design will be combined with the theme of road construction during the war of resistance, taking the history of road construction on the Stilwell Highway as the design concept and enhancing the landscape while respecting the original site. The entire green space will be treated with clever height differences to create an open platform. Large areas of greenery are retained in the space to provide shade for the resting platform. The shape of the road is interpreted and integrated into the site, designed as a tree pool seat, providing a comfortable gathering space for visitors and residents. As part of the Border Gate Cultural Park, the surrounding buildings are transformed and upgraded on the basis of the original, using the Dai architectural roof and window frame elements to unify with the overall style of the Border Gate Cultural Park. The urban furniture with an ethnic flavour makes the whole space comfortable and rich in ethnic characteristics, making it an important gathering point for entering the Border Gate Cultural Park.
