Jixian Suona, with a history of over 480 years, is a representative of folk instrumental music in southern Shanxi. It blends the elegance of the imperial court with the local flavor of the Loess Plateau. In 2006, it was listed as one of the first batches of intangible cultural heritage in Shanxi Province. The artwork uses Jixian Suona as its theme, employing both realistic and exaggerated techniques to depict the postures of playing the Suona, beating drums, and striking cymbals. It is characterized by its high-pitched and passionate style, presenting a raw and authentic feel. It also features children learning to play, symbolizing cultural inheritance. The base is a realistic depiction of a Jixian wooden drum, engraved with "盛世欢歌" ("Song of a Prosperous Era") and "Jixian Suona, First Batch of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Shanxi Province." This forms a contrast with the figures above, highlighting the importance of this culture.
