During the event, the organizer released the "2018 China New Economy Brand Development Achievements Public Opinion Monitoring and Evaluation Report." The report pointed out that the new economy is not only an important soil for cultivating new brands, but also an important force in promoting the resurgence of traditional Chinese brands. Relying on the traffic effect and new model effect of platform enterprises, some traditional manufacturing brands have opened up new growth points, and the brand effect has been significantly improved. Practice has shown that traditional Chinese brands are regaining new vitality with the help of the digital economy. Therefore, to promote the transformation of Chinese products into Chinese brands and further enhance the competitiveness of Chinese brands, it is necessary to accelerate the development of new models.
At the meeting, Mr. Chen Jianjun, Chairman of Xiamen Shengjiang Group Co., Ltd., was awarded the title of "2018 China New Economy Leader." At the same time, Xiamen Shengjiang Group Co., Ltd. won two awards: "2018 Top Ten Innovative Enterprises in China (Sculpture Industry)."
In recent years, China has continuously increased its investment in technological innovation, and the gap with developed countries such as Europe and the United States in the development of the new economy is gradually narrowing and showing a trend of catching up. In terms of R&D investment, the proportion of R&D expenditure to GDP in China is increasing. In 2017, the total R&D expenditure reached 1.76 trillion yuan. According to the latest Nature Index, China ranks second and is catching up with the United States. In the institutional rankings, the Chinese Academy of Sciences ranks first with 1143.93 points, surpassing Harvard University. In terms of patent applications, according to the World Intellectual Property Organization, the number of patent applications in China accounts for 38.1% of the global total, ranking first in the world. In the more valuable PCT (international patent system) applications, Chinese companies occupy three of the top ten applicant companies. The report emphasizes that Chinese enterprise innovation is the key to driving China's economic development towards high-quality development. In some new economic fields, China has already produced a number of world-class enterprises. China's private enterprises are active in innovation in the new economic field, promoting the development of China's new economy.
