Peng'an Confucian Temple, initially built in the Yuan Dynasty, with existing buildings rebuilt in the seventh year of Daoguang's reign of the Qing Dynasty (1827), symbolizes the widespread dissemination of Confucian culture. Peng'an Martial Temple, rebuilt in the fourth year of Qianlong's reign of the Qing Dynasty (1740), is also known as the Guan Yu Temple. In-depth research of the "Peng'an County Annals" will unearth the historical and cultural significance of the Confucian and Martial Temples. Based on the existing buildings, design and layout will be implemented, utilizing diverse artistic forms such as statues, portraits, and real-object displays for exhibition. This will fully showcase the unique historical charm of Peng'an's Confucian and Martial Temples, as well as the region's profound cultural heritage and unique humanistic spirit.

The sculpture stands approximately 4.5 meters tall. The "Ban Hong Incident" was a major historical event in the late 19th century during the period of China's democratic revolution, representing the resistance of the Ban Hong and Ban Lao Wa people against British aggression. In 1890, Britain invaded Cangyuan in southwest China. The Wa people and the义勇军 (volunteer army) united to resist the British and defend their territory. The work uses realistic and symbolic techniques to depict the heroic scene of the Wa people and the volunteer army fighting together to defend their homeland, including dynamic actions such as shooting arrows and wielding large knives and spears, highlighting their heroic deeds in maintaining national unity and territorial integrity.
